Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is a powerful modality used in conjunction with talk therapy to enable you to release and heal from the symptoms of emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.


Repeated studies show that by using EFT Therapy people can experience the benefits of standard psychotherapy (talk therapy) that once took years to make a difference. It is widely accepted that severe emotional pain takes a long time to heal. EFT Therapy shows that the mind, in fact, can heal itself from psychological trauma in much the same way as the body recovers from physical trauma.


The brain's marvellous information processing system naturally moves towards healing and mental well-being.

If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the memory of the event can be triggered causing "flashbacks" of emotions or sensory information from that time. Once the block is removed healing resumes.


EFT is particularly useful for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or childhood traumas. Once a trauma is released memories can be retained without emotional, traumatic intensity allowing the complete healing of the original trauma.
